- Usage and Editing are reserved only for those who have purchased, traded, or won an InkMate.
- Usage and Editing are reserved only for those who have purchased, traded, or won an InkMate.
- ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HARASS INKMATE OWNERS AND STAFF.
- Includes: begging for free InkMates, constantly asking to buy/trade for a NFT/NFS InkMate after being given a “no”, guilt-tripping others for having too many InkMates or being unfair, and so forth.
- I cannot stress this enough. You do not have the right to harass anyone in the InkMate community.
- If anyone feels threatened, harassed or uncomfortable, please bring it up to me, sonyaism, or the staff members (AoiDevvi) in private. Send the group a note or to one of us individually. Please do not make the issue public until all parties have been thoroughly talked to. We are here to help.

Fraudulent Awareness
|
InkMate Resells - YOU MUST WAIT TWO WEEKS BEFORE RESELLING.
- Resales MUST be for the same price at purchase or lower. Nothing higher.
- Exception: If you have purchased commissions or paid someone to design your MYO, you may tack on those prices to the original price.
- Please contact me, sonyaism, personally if you’d like to tack on art you have drawn yourself to the resell price.
Otherwise, you may not include your own work to the resell price.
InkMate Trades - YOU MUST WAIT TWO WEEKS BEFORE TRADING.
- PLEASE DO NOT USE INKMATES AS TRADING FODDER.
- I do not appreciate this nor does most, if not all, of the communities revolving around adoptables.
- Why bother owning an InkMate or any adoptable if you aren’t going to like it and keep it?
- Please think carefully when purchasing! There are always more chances in the future.
- Please be fair and calm when it comes to trading.
- Common courtesy is to disclose the value of your InkMate you have.
- Communication is key when trading. Speak your mind; it's a business transaction, even with friends.
- Consumer satisfaction is also key. Be sure you'll be happy with the trade and not left with regrets.
- Common Items of Trading:
- Other Pre-Made Designs
- Custom Designs
- Artwork (Digital or Traditional Drawings/Painting/ETC) or Crafts (Sculptors, Plushies, Costumes, ETC)
- Hot!Grey Area Items of Trading — Many adoptable designers either have banned these grey area'd items or are semi-okay with them. However, for me, I'm totally fine with these items as long as you follow these guidelines.
- Vouchers — For the purpose of the adoptable community, they are casual written agreements between two parties where the party of interest offers to pay fully or partially (depending on the value) for said item/service/design/etc for the party that owns the design in exchange.
- My Ruling: The Voucher cannot exceed the value of the InkMate's Value.
- If you are unsure about our InkMate's Value, visit the InkMate Appraisal thread.
- Value is based on InkMate's Base Price (what you paid for initially) plus any commissions you bought for the InkMate and possibility of your own artwork (please seek the InkMate Appraisal thread for more information).
- Value is also based on what has been traded for the InkMate.
- Example:
You trade a $100 Design for an InkMate valued at $15.
The InkMate you receive is now worth $100 instead of $15.
The maximum voucher you can ask for is $100.- I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND SUCH RECKLESS TRADING.
- Very risky to do this kind of trading under any circumstances because of depreciation in value is significantly high and people may be unwilling to comply with your demands rationally when you ask for such a voucher.
- I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND SUCH RECKLESS TRADING.
- Example:
- Example:
Party A owns "Rabbit Design" valued at a total value of $30.00USD.
Party B offers a $30.00USD voucher for "Rabbit Design."
Party A agrees for the voucher and asks Party B to send the $30.00 to help pay for a $60.00 commission.
No real money has ever passed through Party A's hands.
- My Ruling: The Voucher cannot exceed the value of the InkMate's Value.
- Physical/Digital Giftcards — Instead of receiving a voucher, you trade for a giftcard with an amount that equals to or less than your InkMate's value.
- My Ruling: The Giftcard cannot exceed the value of the InkMate's Value.
- Example:
You trade a $200 Design for an InkMate valued at $60.
The InkMate you receive is now worth $200 instead of $60.
The maximum giftcard you can ask for is $200.- I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND SUCH RECKLESS TRADING.
- Very risky to do this kind of trading under any circumstances because of depreciation in value is significantly high and people may be unwilling to comply with your demands rationally when you ask for such a giftcard amount.
- I ALSO HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND PHYSICAL GIFTCARDS.
- Physical giftcards can be lost in the mail. I heavily do not advise to go this route.
- I am not responsible for any loss physical items that have been agreed upon between the two parties.
- You are at your own risk.
- If you do go this route against my warnings, do not give up ownership until you receive the item in hand.
- I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND SUCH RECKLESS TRADING.
- Example:
- Physical Merchandise — Perhaps you need new computer parts, or there is a book you'd like to own and read? You are able to trade your InkMate in exchange for someone, who is willing to comply, to buy those items for you via Online.
- My Ruling: The Merchandise cannot exceed the value of the InkMate's Value.

- Example:
You trade a $300 Design for an InkMate valued at $150.

The maximum amount of merchandise you can ask for is $300.- I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND SUCH RECKLESS TRADING.
- Very risky to do this kind of trading under any circumstances because of depreciation in value is significantly high and people may be unwilling to comply with your demands rationally when you ask for merchandise valuing at such quantity.
- I ALSO HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING FOR PHYSICAL MERCHANDISE.
- Physical items in general are risky since they can get lost in the mail.
- I am not responsible for any loss physical items that have been agreed upon between the two parties.
- You are at your own risk.
- If you do go this route against my warnings, do not give up ownership until you receive the item in hand. As well as, please have tracking or even insurance on these physical items when they ship.
- I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND SUCH RECKLESS TRADING.
- Example:
- Vouchers — For the purpose of the adoptable community, they are casual written agreements between two parties where the party of interest offers to pay fully or partially (depending on the value) for said item/service/design/etc for the party that owns the design in exchange.

Notification of Change of Ownership
- THE MOST IMPORTANT DUTY OF AN OWNER
- You, the owner (before change of hands) of the InkMate trading/selling/gifting, MUST inform the InkMate staff of the change of ownership under the "InkMate Owner Registry.”
- The responsibility heavily lies within the original owner of the InkMate. And if they fail to carry out their responsibility, punishment will solely be on them.
- The new owner then SHOULD confirm the change of ownership as well but is not necessary.
- You, the owner (before change of hands) of the InkMate trading/selling/gifting, MUST inform the InkMate staff of the change of ownership under the "InkMate Owner Registry.”
- Failure to do so will result in ONE warning then a repeatable offense will earn you a spot on the InkMate Blacklist as well as my, sonyaism's, own personal blacklist.
